UAE National Day 2022:

On December 2, the United Arab Emirates will commemorate the unification of all seven of its emirates—Fujairah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah —into a single country. The nation offers accessible parking facilities in two emirates, Dubai and Sharjah, to commemorate these noteworthy occasions and celebrations. Celebrations for the special occasion are taking place at Sharjah National Park, Flag Island, Al Majaz Amphitheatre, Maliha Public Park, Al Hisn Island, and Al Kharous in Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan Amphitheater, Wadi Al Helo, and other locations in Kalba, as well as parks and residential areas in Al Bataeh, various locations in Al Madam, Al Dhaid Fort, and the Heritage Village in Al Hamriya.

Bringing origins together

The United Arab Emirates was established under the direction of the country's first president. The leaders of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain and Sharjah decided to merge as one nation on December 2, 1971. Since then, UAE National Day has been observed annually throughout the Gulf country in a riot of joyous celebrations.

A Time to Rejoice

While UAE National Day is approaching, you can see the national flag's colours everywhere—on buildings, streets, people, and even cars. Flags are flown from prominent locations across the nation, and red, white, black, and green are used to decorate every aspect of Emirati culture. As it is a public holiday, UAE National Day brings together everyone for a day of celebration and reflection.
Every Emirate's corniche serves as the hub of activities. Carnival floats decked with Sheikh Zayed effigies and photographs line the waterfront as they are cheered on. Sand sculptures frequently use beaches as temporary outdoor galleries. The official UAE National Day celebration is an extravagant theatrical production that takes place every year in Abu Dhabi at Zayed Sports City Stadium. A stirring concert featuring rousing performances, motivational talks, and aerobatic displays infused with a spirit of bravery and pride for the country. The founders of the UAE left a lasting legacy, and their spirit still permeates the entire event.
